Interface Replace<T extends Pojo>

DataModifyingStatement<T>, Statement<T>

public interface Replace<T extends Pojo>
extends DataModifyingStatement<T>

Write operation which should be used if any existing record should get updated with new values. It can be thought of as Update for all properties of a record.

The only distinction to a regular Update is that if Replace is used and the associated where expression yields no result, a new record will be insterted into Storage.

The result of this operation is undefined if the where expression matches more than one record in storage.

Sets a field in a found record to the specified value. If the same key is set more than once, the latest value overrides the former value for that key.

Parameters:

key - the name of the field to update.

value - the value with which to update the field.

where

Specifies what criteria to use to find the record to replace

apply

int apply()

Applies this Replace operation to the storage.

Returns:

a number greater than or equal to zero on success. A negative failure code otherwise.
