This method converts the non-ASCII characters in the input parameter to unicode escape sequences.

Parameters:

in - String to format

Returns:

String containing unicode escape sequences for non-ASCII chars

repeatChar

public static java.lang.String repeatChar(java.lang.String c,
                                          int repeatCount)

repeatChar is used to create strings of varying lengths. called from various tests to test edge cases and such.

Parameters:

c - character to repeat

repeatCount - Number of times to repeat character

Returns:

String of repeatCount characters c

padString

public static java.lang.String padString(java.lang.String oldValue,
                                         int size)

Pads out a string to the specified size

Parameters:

oldValue - value to be padded

size - size of resulting string

Returns:

oldValue padded with spaces to the specified size
